I have been coming from Clarkston for several years to Custard and Company in Royal Oak, my sons come from Grand Blanc and Waterford, my grandson comes from Flushing Michigan and all agree it is worth the drive. Best custard in Oakland County. And now they have T-shirts so you can spread the word while you stroll around town. Jim Z.

I had the most life changing experience at Custard and Co. I’m a 90s kid, and back in the day, Dairy Queen had a coating called “crunch coat”, and then got rid of it in 2000s… anyway… I’m from out of town and rolled up here with my friend, convincing me this is the best soft serve place in Detroit. I was skeptical because I am a SSS (soft serve snob)!! I walk up to the window and i inquire about the toppings. I’m informed of their selection, they have sprinkles and a toasted almond crunch. Immediately I am taken back to my childhood memories of crunch coat. I asked if they could do half and half or mix the two, and the girl agreed she could try to do it. She did. And my adulthood has been transformed. This was hands down the best freaking soft serve I have ever had and will have in my entire life. I will be coming back tomorrow for the largest version possible before I get on my plane back home. This was so good I couldn’t maintain a conversation with my friend because I kept reliving the experience. No exaggeration. I’ll probably dream about this place tonight. I am your biggest fan, please build one in Memphis, TN !!! And also HIGHLY consider making your own ‘crunch coat’ because people will go insane, like me.

I am a custard lover, and this place is one of my favorite. I love the mild sweet taste, and the rich buttery milk. They have a nice menu, I tried many different choices but my favorite is the waffle cone dipped in chocolate and salty caramelized pecan drizzle. It's a happy treat. Cannot cross Woodward without making a stop there!

I am from out of state. I saw the line at this custard place and stopped by to try it. I am glad I did. Contrary to American sweet treats, this was lightly sweet which was a welcome surprise. We got the mud slinger sundae, vanilla black cherry swirl and hot fudge turtle sundae. Hoping to visit one more time before we leave.

Got the vanilla custard dipped in chocolate. It was delicious! Some of the best custard I have ever had. Also tried a sample of the Cherry Dole and thought it was good, but my friend thought it was “too artificial” — I love that they give free samples! Extremely friendly service too. I’ll definitely be back!
